Public Channels
Create open channels that any account member can discover and join. Public channels are ideal for team-wide announcements, general discussions, and cross-team collaboration.
Private Channels
Create invite-only channels for sensitive discussions and focused project teams. Private channels are hidden from channel discovery and only accessible to invited members.
Direct Messages
Start private one-on-one conversations with any team member. Conversation history is preserved and easily accessible from the sidebar.
Real-Time Messaging
Messages appear instantly without page refresh, powered by WebSocket technology. See typing indicators when others are composing messages, and receive real-time updates for edits and deletions.
@Mentions
Get someone’s attention by typing @ followed by their name. Autocomplete suggestions appear as you type, and mentioned users receive notifications even if the channel is muted.
Message Tagging
Organize important messages with tags. Create custom tags, apply them to messages, and filter by tag to quickly find relevant conversations.
Unread Tracking
Never miss important messages with unread counts per channel and conversation, displayed in the sidebar and navigation badge.
Message Management
Edit or delete your own messages after sending. Channel admins can delete any message. Edited messages show an indicator so the team knows the content was updated.
Channel Administration
Channel creators are automatically admins. Admins can edit channel settings, invite or remove members, promote or demote other admins, manage webhook settings, and delete the channel.
Webhook Integration
Receive automated messages from external services via webhooks. Each channel has a unique webhook URL. Post JSON messages from CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, or any external system. Enable, disable, or regenerate webhook tokens as needed.
Notification Preferences
Control notifications per channel: receive all messages, mentions only, or none. Mute channels to temporarily silence notifications. Star channels and conversations for quick access.
