AI Support Chat Guide
The AI Support Chat is a built-in assistant that answers questions about ISO Mate by searching the platform knowledge base. You can access it from any page in the console.
Opening the Chat
- Click the AI chat icon in the top navigation bar (next to the notification bell).
- The chat panel slides in from the right side of the screen.
- Type your question in the message field at the bottom and press Enter or click Send.
Asking Questions
Type your question in natural language. The assistant works best with specific questions about ISO Mate features and workflows. Examples:
- “How do I create a sprint?”
- “What are the different issue types?”
- “How do I set up a recurring task?”
- “How does the traceability matrix work?”
- “How do I connect my Google Calendar?”
Follow-Up Questions
The assistant remembers your conversation context within a session. You can ask follow-up questions without repeating background information. For example:
- Ask: “How do I create a test cycle?”
- Follow up: “How do I add test cases to it?”
- Follow up: “Can I clone it for the next release?”
The assistant uses the full conversation history to provide relevant answers.
Reading Source References
Responses include source links to the knowledge base articles that were used to generate the answer. Click any source link to open the full article in a new tab. Sources help you verify the information and explore topics in more depth.
When the Assistant Cannot Answer
If the assistant cannot find relevant information in the knowledge base, it will let you know. In this case, a Submit Feedback button appears below the response.
- Click Submit Feedback.
- The feedback form opens pre-populated with your question and the AI response.
- Review the details, add any additional context, and submit.
This feedback helps the ISO Mate team identify gaps in the documentation and improve the knowledge base.
Starting a New Conversation
Click the New Chat button at the top of the chat panel to clear the current session and start fresh. Use this when you want to switch topics or if the conversation context is no longer relevant.
Language Support
The assistant responds in the language your console is set to. If you are using ISO Mate in Spanish or German, the assistant will reply in that language.
Tips for Better Results
- Be specific: “How do I assign an issue to a sprint?” works better than “sprints”
- Ask one question at a time for the most focused answers
- Use follow-up questions to drill deeper into a topic
- If the answer is not quite right, rephrase your question with more detail
