Managing Products and Price Books

ISO Mate gives you a product catalog and price books so you can define what you sell, set alternate pricing for different markets or segments, and attach products to deals as line items. You manage both from the Sales group in the sidebar, and deal values recalculate automatically as you add or edit line items.

Create a product

  1. Open Sales > Products and click New Product.
  2. Enter the product name, SKU (stock keeping unit), and a description.
  3. Set the unit price and currency.
  4. Set the Active toggle. Only active products can be added to deals.
  5. Click Create Product to save.

Edit or deactivate a product

Open any product from the list to edit its details. If a product is discontinued or temporarily unavailable, set it to inactive rather than deleting it. Inactive products stay in the catalog for historical reference but cannot be added to new deals.

Search, filter, and export products

Use the search bar on the Products list to find items by name or SKU, and sort by name, price, or creation date. Export the catalog to CSV or PDF, and the export includes name, SKU, unit price, currency, and status while respecting your current search and filters.

Create a price book

A price book holds alternate pricing for your products, for example a “Partner Pricing” or “Enterprise Tier” list.

  1. Open Sales > Price Books and click New Price Book.
  2. Enter a name and an optional description.
  3. Save the price book, then open it to add products.

Add products to a price book

  1. Open a price book and go to the Products section.
  2. Click Add and select a product from your catalog.
  3. Set the custom unit price and currency for this price book. This overrides the product’s default price when the price book is used.
  4. Repeat for each product you want to include.

You can update or remove products from a price book at any time. Changes apply to future deals and do not affect existing deal line items.

Add products to a deal

  1. Open a deal and go to the Deal Products section.
  2. Click Add Product and select a product from the catalog.
  3. Enter the quantity, unit price, and an optional discount percentage.
  4. The line total is calculated from quantity and unit price, less any discount, and the deal value is the sum of all line item totals.

If the deal is associated with a price book, the unit price defaults to the price book value for that product, and you can override it per line item. To edit or remove a line item, use the edit and delete icons on the deal detail page. The deal value updates automatically after each change.

Permissions

Products and price books are governed by the Products permission category, with view, create, update, and delete rights. Configure these under the Sales group in Roles and Permissions. For how line items shape the deal value, see Managing Your Sales Pipeline and Understanding the Sales Process Flow.
