Contacts in ISO Mate are a shared directory for the external people your team works with, such as clients, vendors, and partners. You reach them from the Contacts item in the sidebar General group, where the Create button opens the contact form. Each contact stores an email, name, company, phone, and notes, and you can search, filter, email selected contacts, and export to CSV.
Creating a contact
- Open Contacts from the sidebar General group.
- Click Create to open the contact form. When AI creation is enabled, the caret next to the button reveals a Create with AI option.
- Enter the contact details:
- Email: the contact’s email address (required).
- Name: the contact’s full name.
- Company: the organization the contact belongs to.
- Phone: a phone number.
- Notes: any additional details about the contact.
- Click Save.
Searching and filtering
Use the search bar to find contacts by name, email, or company. Two filters narrow the directory further, and they answer different questions:
- Source: separates contacts you added manually from those created automatically when an email arrives from a new address.
- Created by: narrows the list to the contacts one person added. Choose System for contacts that came from an incoming email or a workflow rather than from a member of your team.
The Created By column shows who added each contact. It reads System where nobody added it directly, which also covers contacts created before ISO Mate began recording this.
Editing a contact
Open a contact to view its details, then click Edit to update any field. Email must stay unique within your account.
Emailing and bulk actions
- Email selected: select contacts with the checkboxes and open the compose dialog with those recipients prefilled.
- Bulk delete: select multiple contacts to remove them together.
Exporting contacts
Use the Export action to download your contacts as a CSV file, which includes the Created By value for each one. The export respects your current search and filters.
