Creating and Managing Calendar Events

You create calendar events in ISO Mate from the Calendar page in the sidebar General group. Open the Create control in the header or click a date or time slot on the grid, fill in the event details, then save. Events support start and end times, all-day scheduling, recurring series, attendees, a color for visual grouping, and a Google Meet link on synced Google calendars.

Open the calendar

  1. Open Calendar from the sidebar General group.
  2. The calendar opens in your default view, which can be Month, Week, Day, or Agenda.
  3. Switch layouts with the Month, Week, and Day buttons, and move through dates with the arrows or the Today button.

Create an event

In the calendar header, click Create to open the New Event dialog. Calendar events support AI creation, so when that is enabled for your account the same control also offers Create with AI. You can also click any date or time slot on the grid to open the dialog with that time already filled in.

Event fields

  • Event title: a descriptive name for the event.
  • Date and time: pick the date, then set the Start and End times. All-day events show Start and End dates instead.
  • All day: turn on for events that span the whole day.
  • Repeat: turn on to make the event a recurring series.
  • Add Google Meet: available when the event sits on a synced Google calendar.
  • Add guests: invite attendees by contact or email address.
  • Location: where the event takes place.
  • Description: any extra detail about the event.
  • Calendar: the calendar source the event belongs to.
  • Color: a color so the event stands out on the grid.

Click Create to save the event.

All-day and recurring events

Turn on All day for events without a specific start and end time, such as a holiday or a deadline. Turn on Repeat to build a recurring series. Set the cadence under Every (for example every 1 week or every 2 months), then choose when the series Ends: Never, On a specific date, or After a set number of occurrences.

Invite attendees

In the guests field, start typing a name or email address. Matching contacts appear as suggestions, or you can press Enter to add an email directly. Each attendee shows a response status of Accepted, Declined, Maybe, or Awaiting response.

Add a Google Meet link

When an event is created on a Google calendar that has event sync enabled, turn on Add Google Meet to generate a video conferencing link. The link appears on the event so guests can join. For setup, see Connecting Google Calendar.

Reminders

Reminders are configured as default reminders in Calendar Settings and applied to new events. Open Calendar, go to Settings, and select the reminder offsets you want, such as 15 minutes before or 1 day before. See Calendar Sources and Settings for the full list of preferences.

Edit or delete an event

Click an event to open its details. Change any field and save, or use Delete to remove it. For a recurring series you choose the scope of the change: Only this event, This and future events, or All events in series.
