ISO Mate brings DevOps, QA, compliance, help desk, sales, and team collaboration together in one platform. Below are answers to the questions we hear most often about accounts, features, billing, and integrations. Where a topic has a dedicated guide, follow the link for the full detail.
Getting started
What is ISO Mate?
ISO Mate is a multi-tenant project management, quality assurance, and compliance platform. It combines DevOps issue tracking, QA test management, compliance frameworks, risk and incident management, a help desk, and a sales pipeline, alongside everyday collaboration tools such as notes, tasks, calendar, and email.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new organization starts with a 14-day free trial that includes full access, so you can evaluate ISO Mate before you commit. You can subscribe at any time from the Billing page.
Can I belong to more than one organization?
Yes. Your user can be a member of several organizations, called accounts. Switch between them from the account name in the top toolbar, or from Manage Accounts in the profile menu. Each organization keeps its own data, roles, and permissions.
Is my data isolated between organizations?
Yes. ISO Mate uses a multi-tenant architecture, so each organization’s data is fully isolated. People in one organization cannot see the data of another.
Accounts and security
How do roles and permissions work?
Access is controlled per organization through role-based access control. Each role grants granular permissions, for example the ability to create issues or update test cases. An administrator manages roles under Roles & Permissions in the Settings menu (the gear icon in the top toolbar).
Does ISO Mate support two-factor authentication?
Yes. ISO Mate offers SMS-based two-factor authentication. Add a mobile phone number to your profile, then enable it under Security Settings in the profile menu. You also receive recovery codes so you can still sign in if you lose access to your phone.
How do I change my email address or password?
Change your password under Security Settings in the profile menu. To change your email address, ISO Mate confirms your current password and then verifies the new address through an emailed link, which keeps your old address active until you confirm. See Changing Your Email Address and Password Security and Breach Detection for the full process.
DevOps and agile
What issue types are available?
ISO Mate supports five issue types: Epic, Story, Task, Bug, and Subtask. An Epic groups Stories, Tasks, and Bugs, and each Story, Task, or Bug can hold Subtasks. Issues move through three statuses: To Do, In Progress, and Done.
Can I have more than one active sprint?
No. Only one sprint can be Active at a time. Other sprints stay in the Future state until you close the active one, and then you can start the next sprint.
Quality assurance
How does test coverage tracking work?
Link test cases to the acceptance criteria of your user stories. The Traceability Matrix then shows which requirements are covered by tests and where the gaps are, and the QA Metrics page reports coverage across your work.
Can I reuse a test case across multiple test cycles?
Yes. Test cases are reusable specifications. Add the same test case to as many test cycles as you need, and each cycle creates its own test execution to record the pass or fail result for that run.
Compliance and risk
Which compliance frameworks does ISO Mate support?
ISO Mate does not restrict you to a fixed list. Create any framework you need, for example ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS, then define your own requirements, controls, and policies within it.
What does the Crosswalk view do?
The Crosswalk maps controls across multiple frameworks so you can see where requirements overlap. That lets you satisfy several standards with shared controls instead of duplicating effort.
How are risks scored?
Risks are scored on a 5×5 matrix that combines likelihood and impact into a value from 1 to 25, which maps to low, medium, high, or critical bands. See Interpreting the 5×5 Risk Matrix and Creating a Risk for the detail.
Billing
How is pricing calculated?
Your subscription quantity is based on the number of active users in your organization. When you add or remove users, the subscription quantity adjusts automatically.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Billing is handled through the secure Stripe billing portal, which you open from the Billing page in the Settings menu. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and you can resume before then without losing access. If a payment fails, a short grace period gives you time to update your card.
Integrations and AI
Which email providers can I connect?
ISO Mate connects Gmail through Google sign-in, which is the recommended option, and any provider that supports IMAP and SMTP, such as Outlook, Yahoo, or a custom mail server. See The Email Activity Panel for how mailbox messages tie into contacts, tickets, and issues.
Does Google Calendar sync both ways?
Yes. Events you create in ISO Mate sync to Google Calendar, and events created in Google Calendar sync back into ISO Mate, so a change on either side is reflected on the other.
Can I use AI to work faster?
Yes. The AI Assistant answers natural language questions about your live account data, and many features offer Create with AI to draft a record from a short description. See Using the AI Assistant and Creating Records with AI.
