Using the AI Assistant

AI Assistant Overview

The AI Assistant lets you query your live account data using natural language. Instead of navigating to different modules and applying filters, ask a question and get an instant answer drawn from your real data.

Accessing the AI Assistant

  1. Click the AI chat icon in the top navigation bar to open the chat panel.
  2. Switch to the My Data tab. This tab connects to your live account data.
  3. Type your question in the input field and press Enter or click Send.
  4. The assistant queries your data and responds with relevant information.

The Support tab answers questions about ISO Mate documentation, while the My Data tab queries your actual account data.

Multi-Turn Conversations

The AI Assistant retains context within a conversation. You can ask follow-up questions without repeating yourself:

  1. Ask: “How many open incidents are there?”
  2. Follow up: “Which ones are critical?”
  3. Drill down: “Show me the data breaches”

The assistant remembers the previous context and narrows the results accordingly. Start a new conversation by clicking the “New Chat” button to reset the context.

Tips for Better Results

  • Be specific: “Show me high-priority bugs assigned to me” works better than “show me stuff”.
  • Use domain terms: Use terms like “sprint”, “test cycle”, “pipeline”, or “framework” to help the assistant understand which module you mean.
  • Ask one thing at a time: Break complex questions into smaller follow-ups for more accurate results.
  • Specify time ranges: Add “this week”, “last month”, or “today” to narrow results by date.

Permission Requirements

The AI Assistant respects your role-based permissions. You will only see data from modules you have access to. For example, if your role does not include compliance permissions, the assistant cannot retrieve compliance data for you. The tools available to the assistant are filtered based on:

  • Your assigned role permissions
  • Your account’s enabled feature flags

Contact your account administrator if you need access to additional modules.
